# Terms and Conditions — Prernaa’s > How ordering works at Prernaa's: quotes, the 50% advance, measurements and catalogue sizes, your own fabric, timelines, courier delivery, collection and cancellations. Source: https://prernaas.shop/terms Last updated: 2026-11-03 These terms apply when you order an outfit, stitching or alterations from Prernaa's, a boutique fashion studio in Kalyan, Maharashtra, and when you use this website. By placing an order, you agree to them. ## Quotes and orders - Every outfit is quoted individually, based on the design, fabric, embroidery or sequin work and stitching. We confirm the price before any work begins. - Your order is confirmed once we have agreed the design, price and delivery date, and received your advance. - If you change the design after we have started work, the price or delivery date may change. We will tell you before going ahead. ## Payment - A **50% advance** is due when you confirm your order. We start work once it is received. - The remaining 50% is due before you collect the outfit, or before we courier it to you. - We share payment details with you on WhatsApp. We will never ask for your card number, bank password or UPI PIN. ## Measurements and sizes - **Made to your measurements:** we stitch the outfit to the measurements you give us or that we take at the studio, so please check them carefully. Compare the size with your own measurements before ordering; the [dress size converter](/tools/dress-size-converter) can help. - What happens if something does not fit is explained in our [Alterations, Returns and Refunds policy](/alterations-and-refunds). ## Your own fabric - When you give us your fabric, we are responsible for it while it is with us. If it is damaged by a mistake on our side, we will make it right by repairing it, replacing it with similar fabric or paying you its value. - Please tell us if your fabric needs special care, such as pre-washing. We are not responsible for shrinking or colour bleeding that comes from the fabric itself when it is washed after delivery. - If you send your fabric by courier, it is your responsibility until it reaches us. ## Timelines - We give you a delivery date when you order. Embroidery, sequin work and designer outfits take longer, and wedding and festive seasons are busy, so please order early. - We do our best to meet every date. If anything on our side may cause a delay, we will tell you as soon as we know. ## Collection and courier delivery - You can collect your outfit from our studio in Kalyan, or we can courier it to you. - Courier charges are extra and we share them with you before dispatch. We dispatch once the full payment is received and send you the tracking details on WhatsApp. - Delivery times depend on the courier company. Once the parcel is with the courier, delays on their side are outside our control, but we will help you follow up. - If your parcel arrives damaged, please record a video while opening it and send it to us on WhatsApp within 48 hours. ## Uncollected orders We will message you when your outfit is ready. Please collect it within **30 days**. We keep finished outfits, and any fabric you have left with us, for a maximum of 30 days; after that we are no longer responsible for them, and the advance cannot be refunded. ## Cancellations - **Before we cut your fabric:** we refund your advance, minus the cost of any material we have already bought for your order. - **After cutting has started:** the advance cannot be refunded, because the work and material cannot be reused. ## Colours and hand work - Colours can look different on screens and in photos, so fabric and finished outfits may vary slightly from what you see online. - Embroidery, sequin and hand work is done by hand, so small variations are part of each piece, not a defect. ## Using this website - Our free tools, calculators and guides give estimates for general guidance. Measurements, fabric amounts and sizes vary, so please confirm with us before buying fabric or placing an order. - The designs, photos, text and illustrations on this website belong to Prernaa's. Please do not copy them for commercial use without our permission. - How we handle your personal details is explained in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy). ## Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts at Kalyan, Maharashtra. ## Changes to these terms We may update these terms from time to time.
