## How to use this tool

1. Measure around the fullest part of your bust with a soft tape, keeping it level and snug.
2. Choose inches or centimetres and enter the number.
3. Read your blouse size and the matching letter size (XS to 4XL).

## How the size is worked out

Indian readymade blouse sizes follow the bust measurement in inches and move up in steps of two. If your bust falls between two sizes, choose the larger one, since a blouse can be taken in but rarely let out much.

## When a standard size will not fit well

- Your bust and waist fall in very different size bands.
- You have a broad or narrow shoulder compared with your bust.
- You want a fitted style such as a princess-cut or corset-style blouse.

In these cases a custom-stitched blouse fits far better than a readymade one, and a trial fitting lets the fit be adjusted before finishing.
