Quick answer
Dry clean heavily worked outfits, store them folded in soft cloth, and avoid direct heat or rough surfaces. Iron on the reverse with a cloth over the work.
Washing
- Dry clean outfits with heavy embroidery, sequins or beads.
- For lightly worked fabric, check the care label first and hand wash gently if allowed.
Storing
- Wrap in soft muslin or cotton cloth.
- Avoid plastic covers for long periods.
- Keep away from damp and direct sunlight.
Ironing
- Iron on the reverse side of the fabric.
- Place a thin cloth over the work.
- Never press directly on sequins or beads.
After wearing
Air the outfit before folding, and check for loose threads or beads so they can be repaired early. Prernaa’s also offers alterations and custom stitching.
